SK Battery America constructed a large-scale manufacturing plant in Commerce, Jackson County, Georgia, to produce electric vehicle (EV) batteries. This project was launched as a strategic investment by SK Innovation to strengthen its presence in the North American market and respond to the rapidly growing demand for EV batteries.
With a total investment of $2.6 billion, the plant is designed to produce battery cells and modules capable of powering hundreds of thousands of electric vehicles annually. Additionally, it has created over 2,600 jobs, contributing to local economic growth.
